Majestic Calisthenics is a family-friendly club established in 1992.
Since its origin, the Club has been multiple state divisional champions in every section and has had numerous members participate in the State Team, representing the state at a national level. Find out more about our club.
Calisthenics is a uniquely Australian Sport and is recognized as a fun and healthy way to keep fit for all ages from 3 to Adult. Calisthenics is the combination of Gymnastics, Ballet, Folk Dance, Jazz Ballet, Apparatus (clubs and rods), Figure Marching, Mime and Singing. It involves a team of pupils learning routines choreographed to music. Pupils learn 4-6 routines concurrently throughout the year and there are also opportunities for solo/duo performances.
Calisthenics is a diverse sport that provides students with opportunities to develop their health and deportment. Coordination skills and an understanding of musical concepts develop through the use of apparatus. Our members enjoy the social aspects of training with their classmates, and the mental and physical stimulation and discipline of working as part of a team.
