Maccabi Netball Trainee Umpires 2026

Maccabi Netball NSW offers an umpire development program each season. Trainee umpire positions are limited by the availability of umpire mentors. Our training program commences in January and we are currently taking applications. Applications will close 20th of January 2026 

Prerequisites

• Registered with Maccabi Netball NSW

• 13yrs or older

• Available to umpire at 8am and 9am when the winter season commences 

To apply for our program complete the following

• Create a netball NSW learning account

• Complete Netball NSW Foundation Umpire Course 

• Complete Rules of Netball Theory Exam. We expect a minimum pass mark of 75% for your application to be processed. The Rules of Netball

• Certificates of completion must be submitted with your application

• Tell us in 200 words or less why you want to become an umpire

• Complete and submit the Maccabi Netball NSW Umpire registration form found HERE 

• Maccabi Netball NSW does not reimburse the fees associated with each course

Please do not complete the umpire registration form until you have completed the foundation umpire course and rules of netball exam.
