In table tennis, team fixtures often consist of three or four players per team, who compete in a series of matches that encompass both singles and doubles games. The conventional format for these fixtures is typically eleven or twelve matches, providing a thorough competition between the teams. Each fixture includes a mix of singles matches, with players competing against counterparts from the opposing team, and doubles matches, where teammates pair up to play together.
Engaging in two or even three doubles matches adds a strategic layer that requires coordination and collaboration. This format tests the players' abilities and their capability to function as a cohesive unit, providing a thrilling and dynamic twist to competitive table tennis.
Each match consists of playing the best of five games. Each game is played to eleven, with a two-point advantage.
