If you are an elite athlete who is completing Year 12 in 2026, you may be eligible to receive an ATAR adjustment up to five (5) aggregate points when applying to study an undergraduate course at La Trobe University.

 To receive an adjustment, students must meet the below eligibility critera:

• Completing Year 12 in 2026 at an Australian school
• Apply for entry into a La Trobe undergraduate course via VTAC
• Demonstrate how your elite sport commitments have impacted your study during Year 12

Your application must include a reference and written statement from your current state or national sporting organisation in conjunction with support from your school.

Applications for the Elite Athlete ATAR Adjustment Scheme will open on August 4 and will close on November 16.

* Important information on Supporting Documentation *

What are we looking for?

1. Supporting documentation from National or State Sporting Organisations. For example, letter from Athletics Australia confirming you're on the national squad, listing your achievements from 2024 and explaining your training load.
2. Supporting documentation from school. For example, letter from homeroom teacher explaining how your sporting commitments affected your study, any sporting achievements you had competing for the school and explaining if your sporting commitments resulted in you missing classes.
