Each Australian Sailing certified learn to sail program is composed of different levels providing a pathway from beginner to racing. Our courses are delivered by accredited instructors on the magnificent Lake Cootharaba situated on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Beginner — Teens & Adults

Start Sailing

Perfect for first-time sailors. Learn fundamental sailing theory, boat handling, and safety procedures.

Introduction to sailing terminology and parts of a boat.

Basic knots and sail trim techniques.

Safety procedures and man overboard recovery.

Learn the fundamental skills of sailing a dinghy.

Children aged 7-12 may participate if registered with a parent/guardian.

Beginner — Kids

Tackers

Non-competitive learning through games in a supportive environment with structured sessions plans and levels of achievements.

Provide children aged 7-12 with a fun, safe and affordable way to get into sailing.

Ensures children build confidence and interest in continuing to be involved in sailing.

Family discount available

Start Sailing participants under the age of 18 attract a 50% discount when they are accompanied by one or more parent/guardian.
