The successful completion of Start Sailing 1 is a prerequisite for this course.  Start Sailing 2 is a continuation of Discover Sailing's dinghy courses and is tailored for both teenagers and adults to further develop their sailing skills.

The 12 hour course (held over a weekend and subsequent Sunday) is subject to a fee of $200 per person.  Children under the age of 18 attract a 50% discount if registered with one or more parent/guardian (contact our Discover Sailing Principal for discount code).

Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club accepts Queensland Play On! Sports Vouchers for Discover Sailing courses (ages up to and including 17 years).

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
