LAKE COOTHARABA SAILING CLUB Inc
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION
The program has been designed around the stated needs of a group of talented youngsters who attended an initial test event on Lake Cootharaba on 9 November 2025. Any future changes to the program will be made with the feedback from participants and their parents and guardians being of primary importance.
Given the status of Lake Cootharaba SC as one of the few clubs on the Sunshine Coast with the location and resources to be able to offer such a program, it is intended that it will develop into a permanent feature of our club’s efforts to broaden the reach of sailing in our community and particularly to attract and develop young people in to our sport.
It should be noted that this is not an initiative to develop an exclusive squad of elite junior sailors.The program’s primary objectives are:
o To assist youngsters to reach their individual potential as a competitive sailors; and
o To help them identify the pathways open to them in sailing and establish their own personal goals in the sport.
Registration
Registration is only available online.
Registration for the Summer term will remain open until 5:00 pm on 31/1/2026. Any particpants registering during the term will be credited on a pro-rata basis for the time they missed.
All participants must be a member of LCSC.
In order to maximise the benefit to participants, a maximum of 12 registrations has been set.
