Ignite Calisthenics Club

Our Committee

Our Committee

Ignite’s committee brings together experience in calisthenics, administration, finance and community support. Our team is committed to building an organised, welcoming club where members and families feel informed, supported and proud to belong.

Sarah Beer

President

Sarah’s connection to calisthenics began at four years old, and she continued competing through to the age of 18. She later returned as a calisthenics parent, supporting her children as they discovered the friendships, confidence and enjoyment the sport offers.

Her involvement has included costuming, assisting behind the scenes at competitions, serving as a Team Coordinator and holding committee roles. This experience gives Sarah an understanding of both the performance and organisational sides of club life.

Sarah brings a patient, approachable manner and particular strengths in supporting children with additional needs. As President, she is committed to creating an inclusive club culture where families feel comfortable, members feel valued and everyone has the opportunity to grow.

Allan Brown

Vice President

Allan brings many years of practical support and committee experience to Ignite. Having supported Tarsha throughout her 19 years in calisthenics, he understands the work that takes place behind the scenes to help performers and coaches succeed.

His involvement has included serving as Vice President on two occasions, building mirrors for calisthenics clubs and assisting with sewing. He has also taken to the stage himself, participating in parents’ items three times.

Allan brings a practical, hands-on approach and an appreciation of the family involvement that supports a successful club. As Vice President, he will support the President and committee in building a well-organised and welcoming environment for Ignite’s members.

Jodie Bray

Secretary

Jodie brings 19 years of involvement in the calisthenics community, with experience spanning costume making, competition management and support across regional, championship and State-level environments.

Having run competitions for many years, she has developed strong skills in organisation, scheduling, communication and coordination. As the parent of a long-term participant and coach, she also understands the importance of keeping families informed and supported throughout the season.

Jodie’s secretarial and administrative experience extends to her family-run business, where accurate records and clear communication are essential. As Secretary, she will draw on these skills to help keep Ignite organised and ensure committee records and correspondence are managed effectively.

Michelle Anstice

Treasurer

Michelle brings a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 15 years of experience in business management to her role as Ignite’s Treasurer. She enjoys putting that experience to work behind the scenes, helping the club manage its finances, plan ahead and make thoughtful decisions as it grows.

Michelle has always loved dance and music, and calisthenics brings those interests together in a way that feels special to her. Over the years, competition season has given her plenty of proud moments, and she’ll happily admit that a performance rarely goes by without a few tears of pride or joy. What she loves most is seeing performers encourage each other and share the excitement when a routine they’ve worked hard on finally comes together.

As Ignite prepares for its first year, Michelle is looking forward to seeing new friendships form, watching performers grow in confidence and helping families feel at home in the club. She’s excited to be part of Ignite from the beginning and to help build a club that performers and families look forward to coming back to each week.

Haylee Stewart

Administrator

Haylee brings nine years of calisthenics experience, having progressed from Tinies through to Seniors. Her involvement has given her a strong understanding of club life, teamwork and the commitment involved in being a performer. In 2026, she also achieved a placing in her first Graceful Solo season.

Alongside her performance experience, Haylee brings skills in social media, content creation and digital communication. She enjoys creating engaging, informative content that helps members and families stay connected.

Organised, efficient and willing to help, Haylee will support Ignite’s enrolments, member information, communications and everyday administration. Her knowledge of calisthenics and positive approach will help create a welcoming experience for our club community.
