Interim Heat Policy as at February 2020: (replacing the TTSA policy to right)
Due the exceptional insulation of our halls we have introduced an Interim Hot Weather Policy that applies to Port Elliot Institute and Inman Valley Hall.
If the BOM for our area exceeds 36 degrees or more at 7am on the morning of any event, the event organiser will consult with comittee executive. The actual temperature in the hall will be read. A decision will be made to cancel, postpone or go ahead as planned. If the temperature in the hall exceeds 36 degrees, play will immediately cease.
On days of extreme heat, we will endeavour to post notification of cancellation on this website as early as possible.
Heat Policy (TTSA)
This policy impacts all table tennis activity undertaken in an environment where the temperature is 36 degrees Celsius or higher or where the published forecast temperature at 7am on the day of the event is 36 degrees Celsius or higher.
This Policy includes:
Friday social table tennis
Any day time events or tournaments
Evening practice or competition where the temperature has not dropped below 36 degrees Celsius
