Celebrate Reconciliation Week 2025 with Us – Through Football, Art, and Community!
Join us on Saturday 31 May, from 8:50 AM to 11:00 AM for a powerful morning of connection, culture, and community as we honour National Reconciliation Week and this year’s theme: “Bridging Now to Next.”
This theme reminds us of the importance of learning from the past, acting in the present, and shaping a more inclusive future together. At Football Futures Foundation, we believe in the power of football as a tool for unity, healing, and hope.
The event will begin with a Welcome to Country ceremony to pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land, followed by fun round robin–style mini games led by the Dreamtime Spirit team, and Football West's Tash Rigby, and Izzy Foletta.
While some participants enjoy the games, others can help create a collaborative community art banner guided by Maarakool Art, capturing what unity, reconciliation, and belonging look like through the eyes of our young people.
Whether you’re kicking a ball, painting a story, or simply showing up in support—you’re helping bridge now to next.
Let’s come together through football to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
