Football Futures Foundation offers a range of inclusive football programs for people of all ages, skill levels, and abilities. Whether you're just starting out, looking to have fun after school, build life skills, or take the next step into competition, we have something for everyone. We have programs within four areas:

  • Football for people with disability
  • Football for multicultural communities
  • Football for people at risk of social exclusion
  • Football for First Nations communities

Below is a quick overview of our programs to help you decide what suits you best.


Football programs for people with disability

 

Mini Ballers
Age group: 2-6 year olds

Designed for children with disability and mobility challenges, this program uses play-based activities to build skills, confidence and connection. Parent/carer participation encouraged.

Over time, participants may progress into more structured initiatives such as the i-League or Equal Footingball.

📍 Available at The Rise, Maylands

 

i-League
Age group: 7-13 year olds

This program is a friendly introduction to soccer for children with disability, developmental delays and/or other barriers that may hinder them from accessing mainstream soccer. 

  • Club-based i-League: Join one of our partner clubs (Dianella Junior Soccer Club, Victoria Park Soccer Club, Baldivis Districts Football Club, Rockingham City Football Club and Carramar Shamrock Rovers Football Club)

  • School-based i-League: Delivered at education support schools and language development centres

  • School Holiday i-League: Fun clinics in school holidays at Maylands & Queens Park (seasonal)

Equal Footingball
Age group: 10-18+ year olds to adults

This club-based league enables players with disability to represent their club, participate in weekly training sessions and weekend games during the soccer season (April-September). Players are classified into Divisions 1-4 depending on ability and support level.

📍 Available at 5+ clubs across Perth (Cockburn, Lynwood, Kalamunda, Tuart Hill, Western Knights, Dianella Junior Soccer Club)

WA Para Football
Age group: 7-18+ year olds to adults

This program is suitable for people with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, symptoms of stroke and/or other neuromuscular conditions. The program is divided into 3 streams:

  • Junior/Youth – sessions are social and fun, with a focus on keeping active and making new friends
  • Junior/Youth Girls (Young ParaMatildas) - sessions are social and fun, with a focus on boosting confidence
  • High Performance – opportunities are provided for players aged 16+ who are interested in playing football at a higher level. This stream is the pathway to trials and selection of the WA State Team and the Pararoos/ParaMatildas

Para Football is a modified version of the game that is specific to athletes with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury and symptoms resulting from stroke. The sport is governed by the International Federation of CP Football (IFCPF). In Western Australia, WA Paras is a program that provides grassroots playing and training options for para football players. 

Registration fee is $50 per season.

Players who are interested in playing at high-performance level will be provided with the support and opportunities to trial for the WA State team and the Pararoos/Paramatildas. 

WA Para Football is currently delivered at: 

  • Gibbney Reserve, Maylands 
    Fortnightly on Saturday mornings during the football season (April-September)

WAID Intellectual Disability Football
Age group: 16+ year olds to adults

This program is suitable for experienced players with intellectual disability (players under 16 years old will be considered individually for participation in a development program).

The program is designed for highly skilled players with intellectual disabilities to train in preparation to represent WA at a state level. Players need to provide evidence of an intellectual disability in accordance with Sport Inclusion Australia and must be training at a performance/elite level equivalent to Division 1 in Equal Footingball.

Peer Mentor Program
Age group: 16-30 year olds

The Sport, Empowerment and Advocacy Pathways (SEAP) program is run by Football Futures Foundation to help young people with disability aged 16–30 become leaders in their communities. It provides coaching qualifications, life skills, and public speaking training, while giving participants the chance to mentor others and help deliver community sport. SEAP builds confidence, creates job and volunteer opportunities, and ensures young people with disability have a strong voice and visible role in sport and community life.

📍 Available at Gibbney Reserve (Maylands) with occassional travel to events and sessions as required.

 


 

Football for people from multicultural communities


Miniroos Multicultural Settlement Program
Age group: 5-18 year olds

This program is suitable for young migrants and refugees who are new to Australia, helping them integrate into the community through sport. 

📍 Available at Sam Kerr Football Centre (Queens Park) and East Cannington Reserve



United Through Football
Age group: 10-17 year olds

A primary school-based football program in Ellenbrook promoting teamwork, inclusion, and physical activity for students. 

📍 Available at Anne Hammersley Primary School, Clarkson Primary School and Aveley North Primary School





Football for people at risk of social exclusion

 

Play Our Way
Age group: 5-18+ year olds to adults women and girls

This program provides opportunities for women and girls —especially from culturally and linguistically diverse, regional, and low-income communities—to play, lead, and thrive in sport.

📍 Available at Sam Kerr Football Centre (Queens Park) and Gibbney Reserve (Maylands)

 



Football for First Nations communities


Dreamtime Spirit
Age group: 5-18+ year olds to adults

This program empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls through culturally safe football pathways. Participants may also be considered for pathways to the National First Nations Team.
