It's been 4 years since our last carnival so it's time to dust off those shoes and spikes and get ready for some running, jumping and throwing action.
Come soak up the C.H sunshine, relax and enjoy the sport of athletics - truly a sport for everyone.

MEMBERS ONLY
Club member registration: Members of ANQ / QA / QMA / athletes who hold a RevSport National ID - You will need your National Member ID. If you don't know this, log-in to your club's membership page and you will see your National Member Number displayed there. Contact your club if you are having difficulties getting your ID number.

Dates: July 11th - 12th
Times: 9am - 5pm Saturday. 8am - 11:30am Sunday. *Times subject to change based on nominations received.
Where: Marist College oval, Jeppesen Drive, Emerald QLD. Grass track.
Who: open to public & club members. Public/non members can also register - an insurance fee of $20 will apply.
Ages groupings: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, Under 18(16&17), Open (18-29), Masters (30+). *Older age groups subject to change once nominations close.
Age is based on age at 31/12/2026. Master athlete age is based on age on the first day of competition.
Medals/gifts: 4-7yrs receive a participation medal, results certificate & goody bag on completion of all their age group events. Saturday afternoon presentation.
Ages 8 to Under 18 receive a gold, silver & bronze medal, at the event location.
Open & Master athletes receive a gift on Sunday. Collection point TBA.
Trials: Field events = 3 attempts only, except high jump.
Starts: Athletes aged 14 years to Open must crouch start for sprint events up to and including 400m. Starting blocks may be used but are not compulsory.
Results: Each events' results will be printed and put into corresponding age group folders for families to view as soon as possible after the event.
Uniforms: club uniforms are required for this event. If you are not registered to a club, a plain-coloured shirt should be worn.
Spiked shoes may be worn by athletes in age groups 10 years and above. 10-12 years are only permitted to wear spikes in laned events and jumps. Ages 13 years and above may wear spikes in all laned and un-laned events, jumps and javelin. Spikes are to be worn at the event location only and removed before leaving the event area.
Catering: Emerald & District Athletics will be running a canteen. A coffee van will also be on site over the weekend.
Raffle: There will be a cent sale raffle over the weekend with prizes donated by local businesses & families. Please bring cash for this.
