It was an early start today for a group of Derwent Storms members who braved the wet weather to volunteer for the Hobart Airport Marathon Festival 2024.  16 members dressed to impress and had a great time managing a drinks station throughout the event.  We kept them well hydrated, encouraged them and provided some music and fun. Our outfits were noticed by many and the participants were very thankful we were there.  Four other members volunteered as course marshalls at various points along the course, keeping the participants and spectators safe. It was a fantastic morning, supporting the athletes in their quest for the finish line.  We look forward to helping out again.  Thank you to Atlas Event for their coordination of the event.
