For the last 5 years, our players and coaches have trained and competed using borrowed, repaired, and aging equipment. We’ve built Buderim Water Polo from the ground up — powered by community spirit, determination, and a genuine love of the game. Our members have always shown that passion matters more than polish, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved with what we had.

But now, it’s time to make waves.

With this brand new set of goals, our players will finally have access to high-quality equipment that supports their growth and performance. From our youngest beginners learning the basics to our state representative athletes preparing for the Queensland Junior Country Championships and Queensland State Titles, reliable equipment is essential. It allows our athletes to train safely, play confidently, and develop the skills they need to reach the next level.

This investment marks a major milestone for our community. It ensures that our club can continue to provide quality programs, support junior development, and create pathways for players who aspire to compete at state and national levels.

We’re incredibly grateful to Councillor Christian Dickson for recognising the importance of supporting local sport on the Sunshine Coast and helping grassroots clubs like ours thrive. His contribution has made a real difference — not just to our players, but to the future of water polo in our region.

If you’ve ever wanted to give water polo a go, now’s the perfect time! Our club runs free Come and Try sessions every Friday during school terms at Mountain Creek, open to kids and families who’d like to see what the sport is all about. It’s a fun, welcoming way to get in the water, learn new skills, and become part of a growing community that’s truly making waves.
