Zero Tolerance – Abuse of Match Officials
Breakers Water Polo Inc. and the SC Series operate under a zero-tolerance policy towards intimidation or harassment of referees, table officials and event staff.
All coaches, assistant coaches, managers and team officials are expected to demonstrate respect and good sportsmanship towards referees, table officials and event staff at all times.
Coaches and team officials may seek clarification from referees in an appropriate and respectful manner in line with procedures set forth in the Competition Manual. However, persistent dissent, abusive language, intimidating behaviour or conduct that brings the game into disrepute will not be tolerated.
Referees may issue Yellow and Red Cards in accordance with the World Aquatics Water Polo Rules. Serious misconduct may result in the immediate removal of a coach or team official from the competition area and/or further action by the Tournament Director.
This event is a referee development tournament. Respect for referees, including developing referees, is a fundamental condition of participation. Clubs are responsible for ensuring that all coaches, managers, players and spectators comply with this policy.
Coaches are responsible for the conduct and discipline of all team personnel on their bench.
Tournament officials reserve the right to remove any person (official or spectator) whose behaviour negatively impacts the safety, enjoyment or integrity of the competition.
