In the 40-plus years since its formation, BVSC remains a small, friendly club of 10 to 15 sailing members with mainly older sailors of both dinghies and multi-hulls enjoying competitive racing on the largest lake in South East Queensland. All club events are held at Hayes Landing. The popular annual Winter Marathon open invitation sailing event attracts up to 100 off-the-beach boats. The Marathon is to be held on the first weekend of June at Logan’s Inlet, where there are modern camping facilities.
