Code of Conduct & Terms of Participation

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all players, team officials, event organisers, spectators and visitors attending or participating in activities conducted by Beenleigh Multisports Association ("Beenleigh Multisports").
By participating in any competition, activity or event, you agree to comply with these requirements.

Code of Conduct

Beenleigh Multisports is a licensed venue. All participants and visitors must comply with the following requirements at all times:

1. No BYO alcohol is permitted on Beenleigh Multisports premises.
2. Alcohol may only be consumed within designated licensed areas.
3. All members, guests and visitors must follow lawful directions given by Beenleigh Multisports representatives or venue management.
4. Failure to comply with directions may result in suspension, removal from the venue or a ban from future participation.
   
   

Prohibited Behaviour

Players and spectators must not:

1. Repeatedly breach the competition rules.
2. Use foul, abusive, threatening or derogatory language.
3. Engage in discriminatory behaviour based on religion, sexual orientation, disability, race, colour, nationality or ethnic origin.
4. Argue with, threaten or abuse referees or Beenleigh Multisports officials.
5. Show dissent towards referee or official decisions.
6. Make intentional physical contact not permitted under the rules.
7. Strike, trip or deliberately target an opponent's head.
8. Participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9. Engage in excessively rough or dangerous play.
10. Act in a manner that brings the game, competition or club into disrepute.
11. Refuse to comply with lawful directions from referees or Beenleigh Multisports officials.

Breaches and Penalties

Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in:

1. Suspension;
2. Individual Bans;
3. Team Bans;
4. Removal from competitions; and/or
5. Referral to Police or other authorities where appropriate.

Zero Tolerance for Violence

Beenleigh Multisports maintains a zero-tolerance approach to violence. 

Any player or spectator involved in a violent act may be permanently banned from all Beenleigh Multisports venues and competitions. Serious incidents may also be referred to Police.

Team Captain, Manager and Event Organiser Responsibilities

Team Captains, Managers and Event Organisers are responsible for:

1. The conduct of their players and associated spectators.
2. Ensuring all players are properly registered.
3. Collecting and paying all fees by the required due date.
4. Helping Beenleigh Multisports identify players who breach this Code of Conduct.

Finals Eligibility

To participate in Finals or Wildcard fixtures, players must:

1. Be registered before the commencement of Week 8 fixtures; and
2. Have played a minimum of five regular season matches.

Age Restrictions

Players under 18 years of age must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian before participating.

Insurance

To be eligible for insurance coverage:

1. Players must be registered.
2. Team Captains are responsible for ensuring players' registrations are completed.
3. Players should ensure they are medically fit to participate.
   
   

Injury Reporting

To be eligible for an insurance claim, injuries must be reported to both:

1. The referee; and
2. The competition manager at the time the injury occurs.

Failure to report the injury as required may affect eligibility to make an insurance claim.

Participant Acknowledges

By participating in a Beenleigh Multisports competition or event, you acknowledge that:

1. Participation in sport involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury and physical contact.
2. You voluntarily accept those risks.
3. Beenleigh Multisports may contact you regarding competitions, fixtures, events and club communications.
4. Photographs and video recordings may be taken during competitions and events.
5. Images and recordings may be used by Beenleigh Multisports for promotional, marketing, website and social media purposes.
