Poomsae Competition Specific Information
Poomsae Seeding
Under-30 and under- 40 divisions are seeded based on the WT Poomsae Ranking.
Poomsae Uniform

Cadets, Juniors, Under 30, Under 40, Under-50, Under-60, Under 65 and Over 65: Single elimination tournament system (side by side). Two (2) assigned compulsory Poomsae are performed for all rounds, and the Poomsae is randomly drawn each match.
All pairs and teams divisions: Cut off tournament system. Two (2) assigned compulsory Poomsae in the preliminary, semi-final and final rounds.
When 8 or fewer contestants are participating in the Cut off tournament system; competition shall start from the final round. Contestants shall perform the two assigned compulsory Poomsae.
The highest 50% scores from the preliminary round will advance to the semi-finals. At the end of the semi-final round the highest eight (8) scoring contestants will advance to the final round.
The top four (4) contestants in the final round will be awarded medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd) based on scores.
Designated Poomsae will be drawn at the Poomsae Head of Team Meeting and posted the following day before 12:00pm.

Freestyle Poomsae

Poomsae Freestyle: Cut-off system for all Freestyle categories (Single Final Round).
Freestyle athletes will also be required to bring their music in an Audio CD format on the day of competition. Please ensure that only one track is on the Audio CD.
The OC may change this due to organisational matters. Scoring shall be made in accordance with the rules of World Taekwondo.
