A Message From Australian Taekwondo President Jean Kfoury OAM
Dear Athletes, Coaches, Officials, and Supporters,
On behalf of Australian Taekwondo, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026
National Championships. This event is the pinnacle of our domestic calendar, where athletes
from across the country come together to showcase their skills, dedication, and passion for our
sport.
The National Championships are more than just a competition – they are a celebration of the
values that make Taekwondo unique: respect, discipline, perseverance, and community. Each
competitor stepping onto the mat has committed countless hours to training and preparation,
and I commend you all for the spirit and determination you bring to this tournament.
I extend my gratitude to our coaches, referees, and volunteers whose tireless efforts make this
event possible, and to the families and supporters who stand behind every athlete. Your
contribution ensures that the National Championships continue to be an environment where
talent can flourish and lifelong memories are created.
This year also marks another important step in the growth of Taekwondo in Australia. As we
continue to strengthen our pathways from grassroots through to high performance, the National
Championships serve as both a proving ground for emerging talent and a stage for our elite
athletes to inspire the next generation.
