Faq

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions and answers:

Q: How does the age cut-off work?

A: The age of the rider on JUNE 30, 2024 is their correct age category for the 2023-24 season. (example: if a rider turns 8 on July 1 they are in 10 & under). Age categories are: 7 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 13 & Under, 14 & Under, 15 & Under, 16 & Under, Open Girls, Open Boys, Pro Females, Pro Males

 Riders always have the option of competing in their general age group which is open to boys and girls.

Q: How many qualifiers do I have to ride in to be eligible for my state titles?

A: Depends on which state you live - please check with your State rep. For more information on competition guidelines check our ASA Policies tab.

Q: How much is membership for the ASA?

A: All memberships are Seasonal to after the last day of the Australian Championships and need to be renewed before the start of new season. Parents of under age riders can vote as proxy for their child, but only one vote per member.

Q: How much is it to compete in each qualifying event?

A: The events are included in the Seasonmembership fees. State and Championship fees are not included in initial registration fees and are additional. Any Indoor park entry fee's are extra and are determined by the skatepark. 

Q: What is the deadline to join?

A: Memberships will remain open until there are not enough qualifiers remaining in your state to meet eligibility requirements for State Titles. All memberships are done online, not at the event! .  Registration for the State titles and National Titles will be paid when eligibility is determined.
