Refund Policy

AVC Membership Refund Policy

As a not-for-profit club, AVC invests all membership fees directly into coaching, club operations, equipment and facilities, and junior development initiatives. Membership fees help support team selection, coaching, equipment, and the broader volleyball community. To ensure fairness and consistency for all members, AVC has established the following refund policy.

 

Refund Policy

AVC understands that circumstances can change, and a member may need to withdraw after paying their fees. However, refunds are issued based on the principle of fairness to the club, our coaches, and other players. They also reflect the commitment that had already been relied upon by the club and the effort leading up to your offer.

 

Membership payments consist of two components:

  1. AVC Registration Fee – This fee is paid directly to AVC and supports club operations, coaching, and player development.
  2. Volleyball Victoria (VV) Capitation Fee – This fee is paid directly to Volleyball Victoria and is mandatory for all players participating in State League competitions. This amount is paid to VV regardless of which club you join.

 

Refunds are calculated as follows:

Timing of Withdrawal Refund % Details
Before the start of the State League season 50%

This partial refund reflects goodwill while recognising that administrative work, team planning, and roster allocation have already been undertaken
After the State League season has commenced 0% Once the season begins, roster commitments are considered final, and no refunds are provided

 

Additional Notes:

  • Refunds apply only to the AVC registration fee. VV capitation fees are not refundable through AVC.

  • Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the AVC Treasurer and are processed in line with this policy.

 

Acceptance of Policy

By registering as a member of AVC, players acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy, understanding that:

  • Withdrawal after registration may impact refund eligibility

  • The policy applies to all AVC teams participating in State League competitions
