Water Polo Australia is excited to extend an invitation to be a part of National Water Polo Day on Saturday 12 September 2026 as we aim to grow the profile and membership of Water Polo in Australia. 

What is National Water Polo Day?

National Water Polo Day has been created to build the profile of Water Polo and encourage more people to give the sport a go!

We are calling on Clubs across the country to open up and celebrate on Saturday 12 September 2026, to promote water polo to as many people as possible. 

This might be through

• A club come and try day,
• Support from a facility and showing promotional material about Water Polo or
• Letting your community know of an existing competition you are running where they might want to come and watch the sport in action! 

The more events we have, the more we can promote our sport!
