Our first president, Eva Liston
Williamstown Mayor J.J. Liston chaired the inaugural meeting of our Club in 1926. His wife, Eva Liston, was our first president but sadly died at the age of 40 in 1928. This photograph shows (right to left) Mayor J.J. Liston, his wife Eva and his sister-in-law Mary Liston at a garden party they hosted for 2000 guests in the Williamstown Botanic Gardens in Dec 1922.
