WYC will be hosting a vital Race Management Workshop on Sat 10th of Feb. 2024

All are welcome, there is NO cost and morning tea/lunch are being provided by the Club.

This informal, yet highly educational session will be of value to all and we encourage all saillors, of all ages and experience to attend. Your knowledge gained will explain, demystify and assist with club duty and running of races and special events.

Topics to be covered include:

• The Role of the race officer
• Pre-Race planning
• Course setup and laying
• Start sequences and recalls
• Postponement, Abandonment and shortening course
• Crisis management
• Radio and Rescue boat use and skills
• Protests, results and presentations
• Q and A session

The progam will be entirely shore-based with no on-water activities planned.
