Welcome back to another exciting season with the Waratahs Hockey Club! We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces return and welcoming new players and families to the club.
Here’s everything you need to know as we get the season underway.
Saturday 28 March | 10:00am – 4:00pm
We will be hosting a fundraising sausage sizzle at the beautiful Karoo Cottage Boutique Market.
This lovely artisan market features plants, crafts, coffee, live music and boutique stalls — a perfect day out for the whole family.
Come down, say hello, and support the club with a sausage sizzle and cold drink while enjoying the markets.
All funds raised help support our players, equipment and club activities throughout the season.
Sporting clubs play an important role in supporting not just physical activity, but the mental wellbeing of young people and families.
Prevention United is offering free mental health promotion training for volunteers and workers involved in sporting clubs across Victoria.
Training Details
Two online evening sessions via Zoom

The training will cover:
Understanding mental health and what influences it
Why mental health promotion matters
What works to promote wellbeing and prevent mental health challenges
Practical strategies for sporting clubs
No prior training is required and all volunteers are welcome to attend.
Our club runs thanks to our wonderful volunteers.
We are currently looking for committee members and team managers, so if you’re interested in helping out, please let us know.
We’re a friendly, dynamic group, and it’s a great way to get involved in the club and support our players.
Training will be held at Aerodrome Ovals – Oval 4.
Please park at the usual car park.
While the hockey pitch is currently undergoing upgrades, training will take place on the grass next to the hockey oval.
U11 – 5:30pm – 6:15pm
U13 – 5:30pm – 6:30pm
U16 – 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Seniors – From 6:30pm
We’re excited to see everyone back on the field!
Fast Friday Indoor Hockey is coming soon!

Hookin2Hockey sessions will run on Fridays and Saturdays.

Walking Hockey is returning!
