Shinpan Seminar

A Shinpan Seminar will be held on Sunday 5 October, 1:00 - 4:00pm at the Kenshikan. 

All Shinpans (4 Dan and above) are expected to attend to ensure we have sufficient, trained Shinpan available for the smooth running of the Victorian Kendo Championships on October 11 and 12. Members volunteering as shinpan at the VKCs are advised to attend this seminar.

Tentative schedule: 

• 1:00pm - Opening ceremony
• 1:10 - 1:30pm - Shiaisha warm-ups
  • • • Shinpan trainees: discussion about shinpan and the VKC rules
• 1:40 - 3:40pm - Shinpan Practice
• 3:40 - 3:55pm - Review, questions and discussion regarding shinpan practice
• 3:55 - 4:00pm - Closing ceremony

Please bring your own Shinpan flags if possible. 

A Volunteer Briefing is expected to be held at the same time with an invite issued separately.
