ABKC was founded in 2008 by Pete Mawhinney, and was formally recognised by the Victorian Kendo Renmai (VKR) in 2010. 

Apollo Bay is located in Victoria's south-west on the Great Ocean Road.

Chikushinkai is an Iaido and Jodo dojo. We practice Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei (ZNKR) Iaido and Jodo, Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido and Shinto Muso Ryu Jodo and train each week in Berwick in Melbourne's South East.

The Craigieburn Martial Arts Centre was built in 2015 to provide a unique training venue for students wishing to study traditional Japanese martial arts.
We offer classes in Jujutsu, Iaido, Jodo and Judo.
Our instructors are certified in Japan and have over 40 years experience.

The Heijoshin dojo in Geelong is also the home of Ashihara Karate and Red Dragon Kobudo. Iaido classes are held on Sunday at 4pm. Find our facebook group, Iaido Geelong.

Melbourne Budokai

Melbourne Budokai, (formerly the Melbourne Kendo Club) has existed for over forty years. We are a martial arts club that trains in the Japanese arts of Kendo, Iaido, and Naginata.

The Kenshikan Dojo has been the home of Melbourne Budokai (MBK) since 1990. It is the only purpose built Kendo training hall in Australia.  The Kenshikan also serves as the home of the Victorian Kendo Renmei, the state governing body for Kendo, Iaido and Jodo.   We are located on the fringe of the Melbourne CBD, in West Melbourne.

MUKEN trains at the The University of Melbourne's West Stadium in Parkville near Melbourne's CBD.

Monash University Kendo Club, also known as MUKC is a Monash University Sports club, and so is student-run and student-organised. MUKC consists primarily of university students, however there are also plenty of members from secondary school, primary school, alumni, and general members of the public.

MUKC offers training for school-aged children.

Mumeishi is a the name of a group of 3 sister clubs located in London, Tel Aviv, and Melbourne.

Nanseikan

Nanseikan Kendo Club was founded in 2002 to spread the practice of the Japanese art of Kendo in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. We are a small, not-for-profit club run by members for members and train in Heidelberg West, Victoria.
