About Vincentia Sailing Club

Vincentia Sailing Club is located at Plantation Point on the western shore of beautiful Jervis Bay, around two hours south of Sydney.

The Club has a long history of off-the-beach catamaran sailing and provides a welcoming environment for recreational sailors, competitive racers, juniors and families.

Sailing on Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay offers exceptional sailing conditions on a spectacular, uncrowded waterway.

Summer regularly brings the iconic North-Easterly sea breeze, known traditionally in Dhurga by the Wodi-Wandandian people of the Yuin Nation as Baliya. The refreshing South-Easterly, Miringama, is also common through summer and winter and often brings a welcome cool change. When the relentless and sometimes unforgiving west wind, Gurugama, arrives, it will certainly keep you on your toes.

Whatever the breeze, Jervis Bay provides outstanding conditions for sailing.

Racing is held most Sundays from September through to April. Our fleet includes Hobie Cats, F18s, Nacras, A-Class and Taipan catamarans, but all classes of off-the-beach catamaran are welcome.

New members and visitors are always welcome.

Our Committee

The VSC Committee is made up of a diverse group of members with a shared goal: to foster a supportive sailing community and help develop and grow the sport of sailing in Jervis Bay.

In Addition to the Executive and General Committees, a number of sub-committees focus on particular areas of Club activity. These may change over time depending on the needs of the Club.
