About

The UQ Ultimate Disc Club 🥏 is a welcoming community that brings together complete beginners and experienced players from across the sport. Whether you’ve never thrown a disc before or you compete in league play, you’ll find a place on the field. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and supportive, welcoming people of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels. We believe ultimate frisbee builds friendships, confidence, and a strong sense of community — while having a lot of fun along the way.

Our Social League runs on Wednesday evenings (7–9 pm) on campus at Cricket Field 1. Come down for a throw and a great time. The first three weeks (O-Week plus Weeks 1 and 2) are free learn-to-play sessions focused on skill development through drills, exercises, and games. For the rest of the semester, we run a regular league with teams, while continuing to build skills and confidence throughout the season.

For those keen to compete, our teams also play in the Brisbane Ultimate Mixed League (BUML) on Monday nights. We also regularly enter other regional competitions and send a strong team to UniNationals each year.

Our club includes players who represent Australia internationally, alongside students who simply enjoy a casual throw after class — everyone is welcome.

Swing by on a Wednesday night, sign up online, or send us a message — grab a disc, meet great people, and see what the hype is about.
