Aaron is a Judo Black Belt. Aaron is a qualified Judo instructor with the Judo Federation of Australia.

SEB MURPHY

 

Club Judo Coach

Seb has over 20 years of experience in Judo, competing in UK, Europe, Japan & Australia. He was awarded his black belt in 2015 and also has a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

 

Seb has Postgraduate qualifications in Teaching, High Performance Sport, and a Bachelors in Exercise & Sports Science with martial arts research experience, accompanied with a Level 2 State Coaches accreditation. Seb brings high-level modern day Judo expertise and innovation to the mat.

KEVIN MURPHY

 

Senior Judo Coach

Since commencing Judo in the UK in 1967, Kevin successfully competed his Shodan at the Budokwai in London aged 17 and he achieved 6th Dan in 2019.

He has trained and competed in Europe, USA, Australia and Japan and is a multiple medalist in National, Pan Pacific, European, British Open, Australian Masters Games, Commonwealth and other International Championships. Kevin was a member of the GBR National Squad in the 1970’s and a five time member of the GBR Masters Squad. In 2003 he achieved 7th place in the World Masters Championships.

In 2017, Kevin was appointed as OJU Veterans Director and an IJF Veterans Commissioner. He has been a Director of Judo Queensland since 2014 and a Qld Grades Commission member since 2013.
