UQEC is a club that is for anyone with an interest in horses. We run clinics and activities approximately once a month in Southeast Queensland. The majority of this year's events have been run in and around Gatton, as this is where most of the current membership and coaches have been based. However we can run events closer to St Lucia or other areas, if the commitment to attend, venue and coach are there at a reasonable price point. We have 2 membership types, riding and social, which both have access to the same events but how they engage with them is slightly different. Riding members are going to be people who can Walk, Trot and halt on a horse and have access to a horse and a way to get it to and from events
Social members are keen to spend time with like minded people, to soak up knowledge of our coaches and who want to spend more time round the majestic oddballs that are horses. There may be opportunities for basic handling/horse ownership skill and/or riding opportunities through a horse experience company with sufficient commitment.
Members pay a flat fee to join and then riding members pay an additional fee per event they nominate in
