- Sunday-Only Events: Walks, Javelin, Pole Vault
- Long Jump & Triple Jump: Events are split between the two separate pits. Please check in at the officials tents for direction.

- Protests: This is a club carnival; protests will not be considered.
🏅 Age Groups & Medal Categories
Age Groups:
- U10 to U20:
- Age groups are determined by the age the athlete turns this calendar year
- Queensland Athletics, is not Little Athletics. QA medal categories are combined 2-year age groups, with only two event exceptions. Example age groups – U10 includes 8 & 9-year-olds; U16 includes 14 & 15-year-olds & so on.
- Para-Athletes:
- U15 Para: 11–14 years
- U17 Para: 15–16 years
- Open Para: 17 years to Masters
- Opens: 20 to 29 years
- Masters (30+): Age is determined by your age on the day of the carnival. Competition runs in 10-year brackets (30+, 40+, 50+, etc.)
⚠️ The exceptions to the 'combined 2-year age group' medal events:
- Discus: Because implement weights differ, separate medal events will be held for 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-olds.
- Race Walking: As this is our UniSC Athletics Carnival, medals will be awarded based on the below categories ONLY. This has been decided due to the differing race distances offered by LAQ, QRW and QA:
- 8 years: 700mW
- 9-10 years: 1100mW
- 11-12 years: 1500mW
- 13-14 years: 1500mW
- 15-16 years: 1500mW
PLUS - U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, Masters: 3000mW
Weight Throw Reminder: UniSC Athletics does not supply Weight Throw implements. Masters please bring your own implement.

🙋♂️ We Need Volunteers! (Calling All Families & Friends)
This annual carnival is run by our volunteer committee to support local athletes. To make it a success, we need parents, friends, and family to step up on the day.
- General Help: No experience needed! Help with simple, vital jobs like spiking, raking pits, retrieving implements, or moving hurdles.
- Qualified Officials: If you can lend a hand for even an hour to give our regular officials a quick break, please email us (events.uscac@gmail.com) ahead of time.
Thank you for your support and good luck to all athletes!
