UniSC Athletics Winter Track & Field Carnival

The carnival promises to be a fantastic day and an excellent opportunity to ease back into the track season! 

All registered QA, QMA or QRun club athletes, from ages 8 to Masters, including para-athletes are welcome to compete.

School aged athletes, if you're looking to hone your track / field skills before the school district or regional trials, or if you're excited to get back on the track, why not nominate today?

PER EVENT FEES:

• U10 to U18 & Para athletes - $13
•  U20, Open & Masters athletes - $15

Nominations Close - 9am WEDNESDAY, 30th JULY  Late nominations will not be accepted.

Please review the program before submitting your nominations. The schedule is tightly packed, and it is the athlete's responsibility to handle any potential event clashes resulting from their selection!

IMPORTANT EVENT DETAILS

• Medals will be awarded to the top finishers (men/women)
• U8 to OPENS - Age groups are determined by age the athlete turns this calendar year. *OPENS - ages 20 to 29 years.
• U15 Para - (11 - 14 years), U17 Para - (15/16 years), OPEN Para - (17 to masters). Age groups- athlete turns this calendar year
• Masters - Age groups are determined by age on the day of the carnival. Note: Ten year age groups are used. *Masters - 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, & 70+.
• Note that we are NOT a Little Athletics club. As a Queensland Athletics affiliated club, our medal age categories are biannual e.g., the U10 medal event combines 8 & 9-year-olds; the U16 medal event combines 14 & 15-year-olds, etc.
• The only exceptions to these medal age categories are:
  • DISCUS, where implement weights differ. Separate medal events will be held for 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-olds.
  • Race walking, where combined medal age groups vary due to discrepancies in race distances among LAQ, QRW, and QA. Distances are:  8 years - 700mW; 9/10 years - 1100mW; 11/12 years - 1500mW; 13/14 years - 1500mW; 15/16 years - 1500mW; and U14, U16, U18,U20, OPEN, Masters - 3000mW
• UniSC Athletics do not have Weight Throw implements; please bring your own.
• Athletes who wish to compete outside their designated age group must submit a request to the president email. Only requests provide before nominations close will be considered. Email is to include the athlete's name and the details of the event & age group change. If the change is approved, the athlete will be withdrawn from their current age group event, as athletes cannot participate in both. Email: president.uscac@gmail.com
• This is a UniSC Athletics club carnival. Protests will not be considered.
