United Physical Culture

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

As a registered member of a United Physical Culture club, I accept and understand I have the right to learn the United Physical Culture Syllabus, attend class and compete in any individual competitions run by United Physical Culture (competitions are optional). 

I agree to pay United Physical Culture Inc. the full registration fee of $85.00 ($55.00 for 3-4 years) upon registering.

I agree to pay any class fees as set out by my chosen club as per the club’s fee schedule.

I understand that once my registration is complete there will be no refund available.

I agree to abide by any United Physical Culture directives issued at any time.

I agree to abide by the United Physical Culture Inc. Rules & By-Laws.

I confirm that the information provided in my registration form is true and correct. I understand that providing falsified information on my registration form may result in a penalty and/or termination of my membership.

Photography and Videography Waiver

United Physical Culture Inc. may record or take photographs at competitions and events organised by United Physical Culture Inc. for the purpose of marketing and advertising. The images and recordings may be used by United Physical Culture Inc. on the website, social media pages, images in programs or publications. 

Members may apply for a photography exemption through their club teacher. This does not apply to videography at United Physical Culture competitions. The United Physical Culture Grand Final will be a videoed and streamed event.

As the member over the age of 18 or the responsible parent, guardian or carer (for members under the age of 18), I agree and consent to the use of photographs or recordings to be used for this purpose.

Disclosure

United Physical Culture Inc. will use the information provided on this form, as well as other information it obtains from you to administer classes, events and competitions throughout the calendar year, and in any activities in which you participate through United Physical Culture, and to care for and supervise, activities in which you are involved in. In some cases this may require United Physical Culture disclose the information to affiliated clubs. In the event of a medical or child safeguarding issue arising, United Physical Culture may disclose certain information to doctors or other medical specialists and/or to police, children’s social care, the courts and/or probation officers and, potentially to legal and other advisers involved in an investigation.

I accept United Physical Culture’s disclosure policy.

Participation Waiver

I knowingly and freely undertake the activities involved in participating in United Physical Culture classes, events and competitions, and assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and assume full responsibility for my participation.

United Physical Culture Inc. excludes liability for any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, or any other detriment suffered or incurred, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I declare that: 

I am medically and physically fit and able to participate in United Physical Culture classes, events and competitions;

I will not participate under the influence of alcohol, any illicit drugs, or any prescription medication which would in any way impair my ability to safely participate; and 

I will immediately notify United Physical Culture of any change to my fitness, health and/or ability to participate; 

If required, United Physical Culture will arrange ambulance treatment and/or transportation for me. I authorise such actions being taken and agree to meet all costs associated with such action.

Member’s Code of Conduct

  • Enjoy yourself and have fun.
  • Respect the dignity and worth of all members, officials and spectators.
  • Treat all members as you would like to be treated.
  • Show respect for and cooperate with your teachers and other officials, without them there would be no competition.
  • Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Don’t seek excuses or blame others when you lose but aim for self-improvements.
  • Do not criticise other members or competitors.
  • Be a good sport. Applaud other competitors whether they are from your club or another.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team. The team will benefit and so will you.
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviour at all competitions and events, and comply with any directives issued by officials.
  • Cooperate with your teacher, teammates and opponents.
  • Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please supporters or teachers.
  • Thank and congratulate the opposition and officials at the end of the competition.
  • If you have an issue, raise it in a professional way with your club teacher. United Physical Culture Inc. will not engage with complaints made regarding judging decisions.
