Playing Minkey ONLY
U6 & U8 are FREE in 2026.

Minkey is all about learning hockey skills in a friendly & safe environment, with the main emphasis on HAVING FUN & enjoying our team sport.

Minkey is typically on a 1/4 field; sometimes, U8 may be a 1/2 field.

The Club provides Minkey players with a FREE playing shirt.

Use the code - HI2H-Tamworth - when registering.

U10 Mixed Half Field

U10 is played on a 1/2 field, with 7 field players and a goalkeeper.

Penalty corners are played with 4 attackers & 3 defenders (including the GK).

Long corners are from the halfway line.

- The ball cannot be raised above shin pad height in play.
- No reverse side hits known as "tomahawks". Shave or edge passes are allowed.
- The ball may be lifted for a shot on goal (e.g., flick, push or deflection), a hit on goal must not be above knee height.
- Sticks not to be raised above shoulder height.

U12, U14, U16/18 Competitions

The U12-U16/18 competitions are all full-field game format.

U12 - No reverse side hits known as "tomahawks". Shave or edge passes are allowed.

U14-U16/18 - Tomahawks are allowed.

Messenger Team Chats

We use Messenger for Team Chats. Please make sure you are in a team chat and advise if you are away or unable to play.

Training

All training is on TUESDAY afternoons on Pitch 1 - turn right when you enter the complex.

MINKEY - 4:15pm to 5pm
All other Junior teams - 5pm to 6pm

Training will commence on

Uniforms

The Club provides a playing shirt for junior players U10 - U16/18  These shirts will need to be returned at the end of the season.

We have brand new playing shirts in 2026.

You will need a maroon pair of shorts or skirt.

Socks can be purchased from the Club.

Active Kids Vouchers

If you have an AKV you will need to send the entire email, including the QR Code, so we can process the voucher.

Registration

All players MUST be registered with Hockey NSW BEFORE taking the field to play.

Please note that Tudor Wests’ Hockey Club player fees are NOT included in this registration process.

Club Fees

The Club will invoice player fees separately to the Hockey NSW registration process.

U6 & U8 Minkey - FREE

U10 playing half field - $125
U12-U18 full field - $145

Are you interested in coaching or managing a team?

Please reach out to us. We are always looking for volunteers and can offer you guidance and assistance. It’s such a great fun way to interact with all the kids.

We use the Messenger App to build team groups/chats to communicate with you and with coaches.

You will require a WWC number and to register in RevSport as a non-playing administrator.
