Welcome to TIODA
TIODA is the state representative body for all optimist sailors in Tasmania.
The association is here to help provide opportunities for Tasmanian optimist sailors to learn, develop and have fun. TIODA does this by supporting and encouraging Optimist sailing through regular coaching camps from intermediate to advanced levels.
As well as delivering regular coaching and training opportunities, TIODA conducts the annual Tasmanian International Optimist State Championships.
TIODA actively encourages and supports its members to compete at regattas in Tasmania, interstate and internationally.
Membership of TIODA is renewed annually, and is open to all optimist sailors in Tasmania. Membership of TIODA is required before a sailor can participate in training camps and/or state and national championships.

TIODA is inviting all Opti parents to attend the AGM which will be particularly relevant to those looking to grow the class within Tasmania. Have a look at the notice below and get to the meeting if you can.
In accordance with section 10 (2) of the Rules of Association the TIODA committee hereby advise notice the Annual General Meeting is to be held on the Tuesday 6th August 2024 at Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, commencing at 7pm.

McDougalls Power Equipment Showdown is one of the 'blue ribbon' Optimist events in Tasmania. Hosted out of the RYCT, it's open to all classes of Opti sailors from any club.
