POSITION VACANT - REWARDING ROLE WITH LOTS OF SMILES

We're looking for Age Managers! This is a voluntary role and the rewards are plentiful! 

• Hang out on Friday afternoons with a bunch of awesome kids 
• Be supported with training and info as you help coordinate events
• Cheer, laugh and be their biggest fan

What does it involve?

An Age Manager's role is to lead a group of little athletes around to each of their events. It usually includes:

• Marking names off when your age group arrives
• Following the program provided and walking children round to their events
• For track events
  - lining athletes up for races
  - writing down race times at the end of the race
• For field events
  - lining athletes up and calling out names to ensure everyone has a turn
  - writing down measurements when throws and jumps are measured
  - working with parent helpers to make sure the event is completed properly
• During wait times
  - Hanging with the children, and helping keep them occupied (games and activities are provided)

Is training provided?

• Yes, our Committee will help you understand the role and address any concerns

Do I need to know how all the events work?

• Not straight away - we can show you what to do and provide you with information sheets to step through the role
• Events are simple and very easy to pick up
• You'll have helpers alongside you - Age Managers don't run events on their own, it's a team effort!
