Tamworth Gymnastics Club

Membership, Fees and Enrolment

·       Membership at Tamworth Gymnastics Club (TGC) is open to gymnasts of many ages and abilities, subject to class availability and coach assessment.

·       To participate, members must:

o   Complete Online Enrolment

o   Pay the annual Registration Fee (covers Gymnastics Australia insurance, Gymnastics NSW membership, and Tamworth Gymnastics Club membership) via our online booking system

o   Be enrolled in an appropriate class and pay the Term Fee relevant to Class Enrolment via our online booking system

o   Abide by all Codes of Conduct and follow all Gym Rules

o   Accept these Terms & Conditions

·       Registration Fees and Class Enrolment Fee must be paid upfront prior to the first class via the online booking system.

·       The Term Fee covers 10 weeks of classes for Recreational groups (1 class per week) and 10 – 12 weeks of classes for Competitive Squads (2 – 4 days per week)

·       Competitive Squad placement is subject to coach evaluation and ongoing performance.

·       TGC may decline or cancel enrolment if safety, behavioural, legal, or operational concerns arise.

·       Term Fees vary dependent on the class and hours of training. All Term Fees must be paid up front via our online booking system in order to secure a position in a class.

·       Families with more than one child participating may contact us to arrange to pay fees at a staggered rate. We also offer staggered payments to those wishing to attend more than 1 class per week. Competitive Squad members will be offered the same opportunity. This must be arranged via email only by emailing us at tamworthgym@gmail.com

• Late payment of instalments will incur a $20 late fee per payment. Term Fees not finalised by the last day of Term will incur a $50 late fee.
• “Failure to make instalment payments or attend classes without prior payment may result in cancellation of membership and/or denial of entry to classes until all outstanding fees are settled.”

·       Term Fees take precedence over competition or carnival entry fees. We cannot accept event entry fees if there is an outstanding payment.

·       We do not give refunds for Carnivals; however, it can be transferred to another Carnival, less a 25% administration fee.

·       Competitive Squads please refer to 2026 Competition Handbook for Event Refund Policy.

Refunds and Make Up Lessons

• We do not give refunds or credit for missed lessons
• In the event a gymnast can't attend a lesson, we will endeavour to assist with booking a makeup lesson if there is availability (please send request to tamworthgym@gmail.com)
• In the event an injury or illness means the gymnast will lose 4 weeks or more of training time, and a medical certificate can be provided, then credit can be applied for the following term.
• Competitive Squads may find information specific to Events in the Competition Handbook.
• Credit is not transferrable unless it is to be used by a sibling and must be used within the same calendar year.
• Make up lessons must be done within the term of the missed lesson.
• Classes are not conducted on Public Holidays, but we will endeavour to offer make up lessons where possible.
• Refunds will not be given for cancellations due to Public Health Orders or unforeseeable disasters, however we will endeavour to give credit for future terms where possible.

Behaviour Policy

Tamworth Gymnastics Club is committed to providing a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all gymnasts, coaches, parents, and visitors. All members are expected to behave respectfully, follow coach instructions, use appropriate language, and contribute to a culture of inclusion, teamwork, and safety. Behaviour that disrupts classes, places others at risk, or undermines the values of the club will not be tolerated. This includes bullying, harassment, physical or verbal aggression, damage to equipment, failure to follow safety rules, or behaviour that interferes with the learning of others.

When behaviour concerns arise, coaches will use fair and consistent behaviour-management strategies to support the gymnast in correcting their actions. The aim is always education first—helping the gymnast understand expectations, regulate their behaviour, and safely re-engage in training. Parents will be informed when behaviour is ongoing or poses safety risks.

Behaviour Management Steps

Step 1: Verbal Reminder

The gymnast is given a clear, calm reminder of the expected behaviour and is redirected back to the activity.

Step 2: Warning & Explanation

If behaviour continues, the gymnast receives a formal warning. The coach explains why the behaviour is unsafe or inappropriate and what must change.

Step 3: Temporary Removal from Activity

The gymnast may be asked to sit out briefly to regroup or discuss expectations with a coach. Parents may be notified if behaviour impacts safety or class flow.

Step 4: Parent Meeting

If behaviour persists or is serious in nature, a meeting with the parent/guardian and senior coach or committee member will be arranged to create a behaviour support plan.

Step 5: Suspension or Cancellation of Membership

• In cases of repeated behaviour issues, refusal to follow safety instructions, or behaviour that endangers others, the gymnast may be suspended or have their membership cancelled at the discretion of club management.
