Privacy
Australian Sailing recognises that privacy is important and providing personal information is an act of trust. Australian Sailing takes that seriously, and will manage your Information only in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at: https://www.sailing.org.au/about/privacy-policy/
Individuals must promptly advise their Affiliated Club of any change of name, address or other relevant identification and contact details, either in writing or electronically.
Individuals acknowledge and consent to Australian Sailing’s use of their personal information for the purpose of sending electronically or by other means, newsletters from Australian Sailing and Affiliated Clubs, which may include information of sponsors or other third parties.

Supporter Memberships & SailPass Terms
Membership Year
The Supporters’ Year runs from 1 January to 31 December each year.
Membership Types
Annual Membership: Provides access to SVSP programs, events and benefits for the membership year. Memberships are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
Temporary / Short-Term Membership: Provides access for a specified period or selected event(s). Fees are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
Payment & Renewal
- Membership fees are payable at registration.
- Annual memberships expire on 31 December. Renewal is required to maintain membership benefits for the next Supporters’ Year.
- SVSP may issue renewal reminders, but members are responsible for ensuring their membership is renewed.
Cancellation & Changes
Members may cancel their membership before the membership period commences.
Once the membership period has started, fees are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
SVSP may modify membership benefits or access, including programs, boats and events, at its discretion.
Paid Private Group, Corporate & ADF Course Bookings
Applicability
These terms apply to all paid private group, corporate and Australian Defence Force (ADF) training or sailing course bookings with SVSP. By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
Payments
- A merchant processing fee applies to all credit card payments.
- A deposit of 50% of the total booking fee is required to confirm a booking. The deposit secures third-party logistics and is non-refundable to the extent it covers non-refundable costs incurred by SVSP, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
- The remaining balance is due 30 days before the booking date.
Cancellation & Non-Payment
Client cancellation:
- More than 7 days before the booking: A refund will be issued less any non-refundable third-party costs incurred by SVSP and applicable credit card fees.
- 7 days or less before the booking: The booking is non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
Non-payment: If the deposit is not received, SVSP may cancel the booking without notice and release the dates to the public. If the balance is not paid by the due date, SVSP may cancel the booking and retain any non-refundable costs incurred. While SVSP may attempt to contact the organiser, payment remains the organiser’s responsibility.
Weather & Event Changes
Bookings are subject to weather conditions. SVSP may reschedule or cancel bookings where weather or other circumstances affect the safety or feasibility of the booking.
If SVSP cancels a booking and cannot provide a suitable alternative, a refund will be issued for amounts paid, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred by SVSP, except where Australian Consumer Law requires a full refund.
Where a booking is rescheduled, amounts paid may be transferred to the rescheduled date by agreement.
Acknowledgement
By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
