Privacy
Australian Sailing recognises that privacy is important and providing personal information is an act of trust. Australian Sailing takes that seriously, and will manage your Information only in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at: https://www.sailing.org.au/about/privacy-policy/
Individuals must promptly advise their Affiliated Club of any change of name, address or other relevant identification and contact details, either in writing or electronically.
Individuals acknowledge and consent to Australian Sailing’s use of their personal information for the purpose of sending electronically or by other means, newsletters from Australian Sailing and Affiliated Clubs, which may include information of sponsors or other third parties.
Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project
Sailing Supporters & SailPass Memberships
Membership Year
- The Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project Supporters’ Year runs from 1 July to 30 June each year.
Membership Types
- Annual Membership – Provides access to SVSP programs, events, and benefits for the full Supporters’ Year. Annual memberships are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Temporary / Short-Term Membership – Provides access for a specified period or selected event(s). Temporary memberships are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Payment & Renewal
- Membership fees are payable at the time of registration.
- Annual memberships will automatically expire on 30 June each year. Renewal is required to maintain membership benefits for the next Supporters’ Year.
- SVSP may send reminders prior to renewal, but it is the member’s responsibility to ensure their membership is renewed.
Cancellation & Changes
Members may cancel or transfer their membership prior to the commencement of the membership period.
- Once the membership period has started, membership fees are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
- SVSP reserves the right to modify membership benefits or access, including programs, boats, and events, at its discretion.
Paid Private Group, Corporate & ADF Course Bookings Terms & Conditions
Applicability
These terms apply to all paid private group bookings, corporate bookings, and Australian Defence Force (ADF) training or sailing courses offered by the Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project (SVSP). By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
Payments
- All credit card payments incur a 2.2% merchant processing fee.
- A booking deposit of 50% of the total fee is required to confirm your booking. This deposit allows us to secure third-party logistics and is non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
- The balance of the booking fee is due 30 days prior to the booking date.
Client Cancellation
- More than 7 days prior: Refund issued minus the deposit and any associated credit card fees (2.2%).
- Less than 7 days prior: Booking is non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
Non-Payment of Booking / Cancellation
- If the deposit is not received, SVSP may cancel your booking without notice and make the dates available to the public.
- If the remaining balance is not paid by the required date (30 days prior), your booking and deposit may be forfeited. While we will attempt to contact the organiser, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure full payment is received by the due date.
Weather & Event Changes
- All bookings are subject to weather conditions.
- SVSP may reschedule or cancel bookings at its discretion.
- If we cancel and cannot provide a suitable alternative, a refund will be issued minus the deposit and associated card fees, unless Australian Consumer Law requires a full refund.
