WHAT
Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project is calling for crew to join us at Sail Port Stephens – Commodore’s Cup, racing aboard SV Euphoria.
The Commodore’s Cup is a five-day regatta sailed under PHS, based out of Regatta HQ at d’Albora Marina, Nelson Bay. Racing features a mix of scenic inshore and near-coastal passage races, taking in the islands and bays of Port Stephens—ideal for cruiser-racer crews who enjoy longer, more picturesque courses.
This event is open to SVSP members who are keen to get involved. No ego—just teamwork, learning, and great sailing in one of NSW’s most beautiful sailing locations.
We’re aiming to race in Division 4, and this will be our first time flying a spinnaker at Sail Port Stephens (a small one), making it a great learning opportunity for the crew.

TRAINING & DELIVERY SAILS
We’re planning to hold training sessions on Lake Macquarie, and we’ll also be sailing Euphoriato and from Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens before and after the event. Crew are more than welcome to join these passages.
Euphoria is the cruiser version of the Northshore 370, but she’s still got plenty of spirit.
ACCOMMODATION & BASE
There may be limited accommodation available onboard for part of the week; however, the yacht will need to be free on a few nights.
During the regatta, Euphoria will be based at Soldiers Point Marina, which has hot showers and good facilities.
COST
Event-specific costs:

Race Entry: $575 — fully funded by Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project through our sponsorships with Port Waratah Coal Services and RSL NSW

Participants will need to cover incidental costs, including their own food, transport, and accommodation
