Elliott 7 Induction

• Storage and care of sails (drying, folding, bagging and correct stowage)
• Rigging the vessel — mast preparation, standing and running rigging checks
• Identification and correct storage of required safety equipment
• Pre-sail vessel checks and readiness standards
• De-rigging procedures and end-of-day pack down
• Cleaning standards — deck, cockpit, hull and below
• Damage identification and formal reporting process
• Securing the vessel for mooring or storage ⚓️


Emergency Procedures (Separate Module)

• Man Overboard (MOB) response — immediate actions, recovery under sail and/or motor, crew coordination
• Heavy weather procedures — reefing, depowering, decision-making and safe return planning
• Gear failure (rigging, halyards, sheets) — risk management and damage minimisation
• Grounding response — immediate actions, hull inspection and reporting
• Injury or illness onboard — immediate care, VHF protocols and coordination with support vessels
• Mayday / Pan Pan calls and emergency communication hierarchy
