SVSP will reimburse up to $200 upon successful completion of approved courses conducted during our current SVSP season (1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026) for up to 10 x SVSP Sailing Supporters.

This support is available to veterans and their immediate families — all of whom must be current SVSP Sailing Supporters (2025–26). The course must be conducted at Gosford Sailing Club.

Courses typically cost $400 or more, this initiative helps reduce the financial barrier to gaining valuable on-water skills.

✅ How to Claim Your Reimbursement

These courses are independently delivered by Gosford Sailing Club, an accredited Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre. SVSP provides funding support through a reimbursement model upon successful course completion.

To request reimbursement, you must:

  • Be a current SVSP Sailing Supporter

  • Complete the course within the current approved season

  • Provide both:

    • A copy of your course payment receipt, and

    • A copy of your course completion certificate
      👉 Submit your documents here

⚠️ Important: SVSP does not provide reimbursement for non-completions or no-shows. This reimbursement model has been adopted to reduce the risk of wasting valuable fundraising funds and to ensure support is directed to those who complete their training.

💙 Additional Funding Support

Further financial assistance may be available:

  • ADF Sailing provides funding for currently serving ADF members.

  • DVA Rehabilitation funding may be available for veterans on an approved rehabilitation plan (via your rehab provider or case manager).

If eligible, please apply for ADF Sailing or DVA funding first — this helps SVSP stretch our fundraising efforts to support other veterans and families who don’t have access to such funding.

If your training is initially funded by SVSP in good faith and you later receive ADF or DVA funding, we kindly ask that you donate those funds back to SVSP to help offset course delivery costs.

If ADF or DVA funding isn’t approved — no worries! Thanks to our community fundraising efforts, SVSP has you covered.
