About Suiside
Suiside Fastpitch Club Inc., home of the Bulldogs, has been part of Geraldton’s softball community for over 40 years. Based at Utakarra Ball Park, we bring together players, families and volunteers through a shared love of the game.
Starting young
Home Run Heroes introduces our youngest participants to throwing, catching, hitting and working together through fun activities.
Junior Tee-Ball gives children the chance to learn the game in a team setting, developing their skills and understanding before progressing to softball.
Junior softball
Our junior teams provide opportunities for young players to build confidence, learn different positions and develop their batting, fielding and game awareness.
We support juniors as they progress, with opportunities to move into senior competition when eligible and ready, and to pursue representative softball.
Women’s softball
Our women’s teams welcome developing players, those returning to softball and experienced players seeking competitive games.
Division 2 provides opportunities to build skills, enjoy competition and share experience with teammates. Division 1 offers a further competitive challenge for players developing and refining their game.
We encourage players across both divisions to support one another and help our juniors transition into senior softball.
Men’s softball
Our men’s teams bring together emerging players and experienced club members, with opportunities to compete in Division 1 and Division 2.
Players can develop their game, learn from experienced teammates and work towards higher levels of competition. Supporting juniors as they move into senior men’s softball is an important part of building our club’s future.
Opportunities and pathways
At Suiside, we encourage development at every level—for players, coaches, scorers and umpires.
For players wanting to take their softball further, opportunities can extend from club competition to association representative teams, state selection and national development programs. We celebrate these achievements and support our members as they work towards their goals.
Coaches, scorers and umpires can also pursue training, accreditation and opportunities to contribute at representative carnivals and higher levels of competition. Sharing knowledge and learning from experienced members helps build confidence and strengthen our club.
Whether you’re learning the basics or aiming for the highest levels of the sport, we encourage you to explore what’s possible.
Keeping softball affordable
We work hard to keep our fees low so families can enjoy being involved in softball. There is no entry fee for spectators, so family and friends can come along and support our teams without an extra cost at the gate.
Our volunteers and sponsors help us keep costs down and support opportunities for our members. Businesses interested in supporting the Bulldogs can explore our packages under Sponsorship Opportunities.
Club life and celebrations
Being a Bulldog also means making memories away from the diamond. Our club events give players, families and supporters a chance to get together, build friendships and enjoy being part of Suiside.
From family fun days and social gatherings to our end-of-season wind-ups and presentations, we celebrate the people who make our club what it is.
Our wind-ups are an opportunity to recognise team and individual achievements, acknowledge improvement and sportsmanship, and thank our coaches, scorers, umpires, volunteers and sponsors for their contribution throughout the season.
We also enjoy sharing our members’ milestones and achievements, including representative selections and successes beyond our local competition.
Getting involved
There are plenty of ways to be part of the Bulldogs beyond playing. You can help with a team, coach, score, umpire, join the committee or lend a hand at club events.
Whether you can offer a little time or take on a regular role, your contribution is valued and helps keep our club running.
