Welcome to the Stawell & Ararat Cross Country Club Inc.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or just looking to get active, the Stawell & Ararat Cross Country Club is the perfect place to run, connect, and enjoy the outdoors.

Established in 1967, our club has a proud history of bringing runners of all ages and abilities together. Each season we host 19 club runs, with distances ranging from 3km to 10km, across scenic parkland locations throughout the district — including Ararat, Moyston, Rhymney, Warrak, Great Western and Stawell.

Run Your Race – Your Way

While we love a bit of competition, our focus is simple: health, fitness, and participation for everyone.
Our unique handicap system means every runner—regardless of pace or experience—has a genuine chance to win.

Each week:

• 🥇 First place receives a sash and trophy (kindly donated by our sponsors)
• 💰 Prize money is awarded: 1st $50, 2nd $25, 3rd $15

Junior Competition – Starting August 2

We’re proud to support our next generation of runners!

Our Junior Competition kicks off on August 2, offering:

• 1km or 3km distance options
• A fun, supportive environment for kids of all abilities
• A great way to build confidence, fitness, and friendships

New in 2026 – RFID Timing System

This year we’re introducing an RFID timing system, delivering:

• ⏱️ More accurate results
• ⚡ Faster processing of times
• 📊 Improved race-day experience for all runners
