We practice the following, all from the prone position.
This is a loose discription of all grades. All rules are available via the National Rifle Association of Australia. https://nraa.com.au/.
Target Rifle;- Restricted to .223 and .308 with a restriction to projectille weight, using open or peep sights, unsupported, but using a sling.
F Class;- broken down in to 3 disciplines;-
F Open;- supported rifle at both front and rear of in any calibre using a scope.
F-TR;- Restricted to .223 and .308 no restriction on projectille weight, using an attached bipod and rear bag using a scope.
F-Standard;- Restricted to .223 and .308 with a restriction to projectille weight. Using either a front rest and rear bag or attached bipod and rear bag. using a scope.
Sporter/ Hunter;- an off the shelf rifle as used in hunting. using a bipod, rear bag and scope but restricted to x25 power. No restriction on calibre.
A,B & C grades are on historical scores. C being the lowest and A the highest grade.
