The South Adelaide Squash Centre has recently completed a major refurbishment of all five squash courts, ensuring our members and visitors can enjoy some of the best playing conditions in South Australia.

The project began in March 2026 and involved extensive planning, research, and consultation with squash court maintenance specialists from around Australia. The goal was simple – to restore our courts to a high standard while keeping disruption to members to an absolute minimum.

To achieve this, work was carried out one court at a time. Each court was closed on a Monday morning and reopened the following Monday afternoon, allowing the Centre to remain operational throughout the project. Thanks to careful scheduling and a dedicated team of tradespeople, members were able to continue enjoying their squash with only minor inconvenience.

The refurbishment process included repairing worn surfaces, preparing the walls and floors, applying specialist coatings, and repainting the courts. New court lines were also installed, giving all five courts a fresh new appearance and a consistent playing surface.

The quality of the completed work was quickly recognised when Squash SA selected South Adelaide Squash Centre to host the Premier League Finals, a great endorsement of both the facility and the standard of the refurbishment.
