About

Welcome to Snowy Mountains Pickleball (SMP) and one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Snowy  Mountains Pickleball Club Inc. is a not-for-profit incorporated sporting club run by an elected  committee, as elected annually at the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). We are affiliated with  Pickleball Association New South Wales (PANSW) and Pickleball Australia Association (PAA) who provide many benefits to its members. All competition players must join our club and become affiliated with both PANSW and PAA to receive injury insurance, access to sanctioned competitions  across the country, and other benefits.

Club Aims

SMP aims to provide a fun and enjoyable sporting opportunity to its local community and visiting guests.  We believe in playing sport in the right spirit and promoting the social aspect of sport as well as the health benefits related to the game. We encourage all standards to participate and provide activities and events to that aim. We also believe in healthy competition and striving to become better and more competitive, without losing the true spirit of sportsmanship and enjoyment.

SMP Seasons & Fees

SMP runs throughout the year with competitions and social pickleball over three seasons. Members may choose to participate in any or all three seasons. Membership fees pay for themselves after participation in just one season. Season dates will vary annually but as a guide they are:

  • Spring Season – mid-September to mid-December.
  • Summer Season – February to May.
  • Winter Season – late May to early September.

Fees for each season will vary depending on the length of the season and the running costs encountered by the club. E.g.: venue hire and replacement equipment.

Where Do My Membership Fees Go?

As a not-for-profit organisation membership fees go towards the costs of running a club:

  • Equipment – balls, paddles, nets etc.
  • Various costs associated with running tournaments and events, including prizes and awards.
  • Accounting costs, office supplies, equipment, printing, web portal and app costs.
