GMLTA Season 2025-26

The days are starting to warm up a little and the next season of tennis is sneaking up on us.

Registrations are open for the upcoming GMLTA season. Following the AGM, we will update our competitors regarding key season information, such as start dates and grade formats. We expect at this stage that the season start date will return to the traditional time of mid-October.

 There has been a lot of activity over the offseason, the main one being the amalgamation with SDTA (Hardcourt) for the upcoming season. With this amalgamation the key information is as follows:

• -          Formats for all Saturday competition remains the same as previous season
• -          Shepparton Lawn teams will play no more than 2 hard court matches per season
• -          ALL finals will be played on grass

Key Information

•  The Club's Committee, in conjunction with the Match sub-committee, has prepared a Match Committee Policy for the upcoming season. Please click on the ATTACHMENT for the Club's Match Committee Policy.
• 8th September 2025 - Online Registrations formally OPEN.

• The link will also be available via the Club’s website and Facebook page.

• 30th September 2025 – Registrations CLOSE. 

• Payment is required at the time of registration. If you would prefer a payment plan, please reach out to the club via one of the contacts below and the club will provide assistance.

• Dates of season: 17th October - 13th December (bye for Melbourne Cup), 10th January – 21nd February (bye for Australia Day) and finals following this.

Along with this, there is also the opportunity to enter in a Friday night competition that will be run on hardcourt only. Much like the previous SDTA format its structured:

• -          3 men and 3 women
• -          DOUBLES only
• -          Hardcourt with some synthetic grass matches

If you’re wishing to enter in both competitions, there will be no extra cost involved with that.
