Learn to Row Program [LTRP]
New to Rowing?
Athletes new to the sport of Rowing will be required to complete a SCRC Learn-to-Row Program (LTRP). These will often be conducted in a 1-on-1 format, with timings worked out between a designated Coach and yourself.
There are two (2) cost components to the SCRC LTRP totalling $230.00.
- $200.00 (includes 2 x formal coaching sessions & 2 x buddy pairing sessions)
- $30.00 (RowingNSW Fee providing rower insurance coverage)
With regard to the four (4) coached sessions, sessions may either be on or off water, contingent on weather and at the coach’s discretion.
The designated Coach will organise all sessions and necessary resources, ensuring that the 4 x session program is completed by you within a 4-wk period. Please note that participants may only attempt the SCRC LTRP twice.
Upon successful completion of the SCRC LRTP, participants wishing to continue rowing with SCRC may be offered to join our Transition Program [TP] and complete a competency Passport.
• This is a 3-4 mth program where participants attend 2 weekly coached sessions.
• TP Sessions are held on Tuesday/s | Saturday/s | Sunday/s.
• It is $100/mth to participate in TP.
Transition Rowers have 4-mths to complete their Passport. Passport completion may lead to an offer of club membership, where rowers will be transitioned to the SCRC Buddy Period [BP] and then onto broader club integration.
Membership will not be offered to participants who have not successfully completed the SCRC TP [Transition Program], post successful completion of the SCRC LTRP [Learn to Row Program].
