Vipers Representative Information

• Trials will be conducted to select teams to represent South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (Vipers) at the upcoming Indoor Hockey State Titles.
• Trials to be a combination of training drills and games.
• Nominations will be open to any player registered with South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (SBIHA) who is a FULL TIME PLAYER in our fixtures.
• All players must be registered indoor players with Hockey Queensland noting SBIHA as primary association as their primary indoor association for season.
• Nomination cost for trialling will be $40 per player - payable to cover venue hire for trials and some training.
• Travel and accommodation for the representative competition will be the responsibility of the individual.
• We aim to select up to two Viper representative teams for each State Titles, however the number of teams selected will depend upon nomination levels and acceptance by Hockey Queensland.

• A compulsory Tournament Fee is also payable to Hockey Queensland (upon acceptance of agreed representative selection).

Representative Eligibility Criteria

Following are the prerequisites players to be considered for selection:

1.  Must be registered as a player with SBIHA.
2. Team 1 selection priority will be given to full-time players in 2025 fixtures run by SBIHA.
3. Must have nominated for representative selection with SBIHA. Nomination must be completed via the Events page.
4. Must have paid the applicable SBIHA registration fee and representative nomination fee.
5. Must be available to commit to play for SBIHA at the tournament.
6. Must be a registered indoor hockey player with Hockey Queensland and have paid this registration.
7.  Priority will be given first to players in the correct age bracket (see the table below courtesy Hockey QLD).
8. If selected in a team, there are further costs which are the responsibility of the participant.
